Military Women's Project
I am a product of a changing world beginning in 2001 and chose to serve my nation in a time of tur¬moil and unknown, but also an amazing outpouring of national pride and heroics. For the last 12 years, I have served on active duty as a Logistician and Ac-quisitions officer, leading American’s finest sons and daughters and serving where I am needed. Along my journey, I have served with amazing men and WOMEN who have taken a different path in life and chose to serve their nation. For women, it is a challenging life path but also rewarding on many levels most will never understand. It’s about the life-long bonds we’ve built and the memories we will hold forever. In 2016, I could not find an adequate image of a military woman in uniform. I’ve made it my task and purpose to capture as many women as I can who wear the uniform. It doesn’t matter what military branch she belongs to. The one thing that unites us all is our decision to serve our nation and build lives worth telling stories about. Our stories need to be heard because they WILL inspire others in all walks of life. Our stories need to be recorded for our future generations to look back upon. If we don’t write our own history, who will? MILITARY WOMEN is a year-long project highlight¬ing the women of our armed forces and their sto¬ries.
